For many individuals and industries, and due to any number of factors, non-emergency trips to a hospital or clinic for appointments or lab work just aren’t an option. There may be mobility issues at play, or simply the reality of a workplace needing on-site testing, specialized medicals or ergonomic assessments.

It’s a healthcare gap that Haztech recognized back in 2006, and over the past 18 years the full-service occupational healthcare, onsite medical and industrial safety provider has been working to ensure that western Canadians have reliable, health services that meet their needs.

With a street-front location on Main Street in Moose Jaw, Haztech is especially committed to serving residents and workplaces in the community.

“We have mobile lab services, patient transfer services and occupational health services that are localized to Moose Jaw,” says Meaghan Grado, Haztech’s Director of Health Services. “The mobile lab is our newest service, and it means we can bring the lab to your doorstep.”

Whether in a patient’s home or at a remote industrial location, Haztech’s mobile lab technicians can perform blood work and urine collection, glucose tolerance testing and specimen transport.

“We’ll come to you, for a fee,” Grado explains. “You definitely won’t have to wait in line-ups, and it’ll help with mobility and transport issues.”

Haztech’s occupational health services are often a source of relief to businesses that need their employees on-site.

“We can do everything from drug and alcohol testing to audiometric testing and mask fitting,” says Grando. “We also have a nurse that is available, and we can also contract out a physician if required.”

The occupational service also has the ability to do chest X-rays, fit-for-work evaluations and office ergonomic assessments, among other services.

Finally, Haztech’s patient transfers provide 24/7, non-emergent patient transportation via stretcher. Trips can be booked online or by calling (866) 919-9114.

“We go all across Saskatchewan and throughout Canada,” says Grado. “Basically, we can transport you to any appointment if it's non-emergent.”

In addition to its Moose Jaw location, Haztech has health centres in Regina, Saskatoon and Kelowna.

Mobile lab, occupational health or patient transport appointments can be booked locally by calling (306) 352-9114 or emailing moosejaw@haztech.com. Additional information about Haztech’s health services, as well as a booking tool, can be found on their website.
