Let the playoffs begin!

After playing 56 games in 74 days, the Moose Jaw Miller Express have finished 4th in the Western Canadian Baseball League's east division and will play the first place Regina Red Sox in round one of the playoffs. The best-of-three first round series will begin Wednesday night at Currie Field in Regina.

The Saskatoon Berries will play Medicine Hat in the other east division semi-final this week. The Berries finished off the regular season with a 4-3 win over Moose Jaw yesterday.

Playoffs are also underway in the Rambler Park Men's Fastball League. The Moose Jaw Giants and Moose Jaw Canadians are facing each other in the first round. Their playoff game gets underway tonight at Memorial Field starting at 7 p.m.

The Moose Jaw Canucks AAA 15U were 25-3 winners over the Swift Current Advantage Manufacturing 57s on the weekend.

The Moose Jaw Ice U13 girls are Western Canadian Champions after playing over the weekend in Brandon. They beat the Eastman Wildcats 8-2 in the championship final. 

Major League Baseball, the Toronto Blue Jays had Monday off. Tonight, they play the Baltimore Orioles. 

At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Canada now with 17 medals. Sunday saw Ethan Katzberg win gold in Men’s Hammer throw, and Wyatt Sanford won a bronze in Men’s Boxing. 

And Nathaniel Gray-Lamont of Guelph and American Tyler Mawhinney are tied atop the leader board after round one of the 119th Canadian Men's Golf Championship being played in Saskatoon. Alex Swinnerton of Saskatoon is the top Saskatchewan golfer - he's 4 shots off the lead heading into action today.
