The Saskatchewan Teacher's Federation and the provincial government have reached an agreed date for their binding arbitration.

The two sides nominated their arbitrators earlier this summer, and are now moving forward with defined dates for the action.

The arbitration is scheduled for December 16-20, with both sides meeting in Saskatoon.

At the arbitration hearing, the STF and province will have the opportunity to put forward written positions and make presentations on the two main issues: Wages and a class complexity-accountability framework.

The panel of three arbitrators will weigh the data presented by both sides, with the final decision delivered in the form of a legally binding written report after the process has been completed.

Any pieces gained or lost by either side through the process will be a part of the final Provincial Collective Bargaining Agreement.
