An athlete participating in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, put God front and centre during his most recent win.

Six-time World Champion and now Olympic Gold medalist, Noah Lyles came in first during the 100m final. He then went on to win Bronze in the 200m final.

Ahead of the 100m start, Lyles mouthed, 'Thank you, God. Thank you, God.' Those were the same words that came out of his mouth at the finish line.

"First I want to thank God for getting me through this entire Olympics!" said Lyles in a post on social media. "Second I want to congratulate Letsile Tebogo, Kenny Bednarek and everyone else on an amazing Olympic 200m final."

Following the 200m final, Lyles collapsed and had to be wheeled off the track. He later let fans know that he had tested positive for COVID-19.

"I believe this will be the end of my 2024 Olympics. It is not the Olympics I dreamed of, but it has left me with so much Joy in my heart."

Lyles is now resting and recuperating from COVID-19.
