Marlene Klassen, 82, of Steinbach passed away Tuesday, August 6th at Bethesda Regional Health Centre. She is survived by 2 daughters, 2 sons, 1 sister, 1 sister-in-law and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Jake, 1 sister, and 1 brother.
The funeral service for Marlene Klassen will be held Tuesday, August 13th at 2pm at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church with burial at the church cemetery.
Viewing will be at Birchwood Funeral Chapel Monday, August 12th from 7 to 8pm and at the church prior to the service.
Donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation or St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.

Marlene peacefully passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB., with family by her side.
She leaves to mourn her children: Marcie, Lori (Mark), Murray (Chantel), Gary (Wanda) and longtime friend Beverly Robb, who was like a daughter to her. She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Kent, Michael, Khristian, Destiny, Nate and Griffin; one sister Shirley Penner and one sister-in-law Linda Heckert.
Marlene was predeceased by her parents, Theodore and Lillian Heckert, husband Jake, sister Beverly and brother Dennis.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, especially Carol, who had a special place in Marlene’s heart.
The viewing will be held on Monday, August 12th, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., followed by a devotional at 7:30 p.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB. To join the family via livestream, please click HERE shortly before the viewing begins.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 13th, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Steinbach, MB., with interment to take place at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, R.M. of Hanover, MB.
