One person was seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash north of Altona Wednesday afternoon.

Manitoba RCMP confirm emergency personnel, including officers from Carman and Manitou, responded to the crash on Highway 30, near the intersection with PR 201 around 1:20 p.m.

According to Greg Zimmerman, Chief of Altona/Rhineland Emergency Services, STARS Air Ambulance was called in to transport the patient to hospital in Winnipeg.

Two additional people sustained minor injuries, according to Zimmerman.

As of 3:50pm, both lanes of the highway remain closed around the intersection, and traffic is being rerouted 2 kms north of the intersection.
