Carnduff RCMP gave a few tips on keeping safe from break-ins after a series of reports in the area.
Categories

The Carnduff RCMP is urging caution for the public after multiple reports of break-ins of properties and vehicles have come to their attention.

The incidents are currently under investigation.

Carnduff RCMP gave the following tips for people to avoid break-ins.

  • Secure your home and lock any outbuildings and slip tanks.
  • Make sure your property is well-lit and consider motion-sensing lighting and lighting timers for indoors.
  • Install a monitored security or alarm system.
  • Park your vehicle inside of a garage or outbuilding. If that's not possible, park in a high-traffic area.
  • Take all valuables out of your vehicles, don't keep your keys inside the vehicle, and lock your vehicle.
  • Don't keep your garage door opener inside your vehicle.
  • Report crimes as soon as they happen to the police. Having more information about local crimes can give them a clearer picture of the area and help police launch projects, initiatives, and education campaigns.

They ask that people contact the Carnduff RCMP at (306) 482-4400 to report a crime or suspicious activity.
