The Alberta RCMP will pay up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of 28-year-old Elijah Blake Strawberry.
The substantial reward, quintuple the amount still available through Crime Stoppers, was announced during today's update on the manhunt for Strawberry. He is the second suspect in the death of Colin John Hough, 45, of Airdrie.
Any person or persons having information regarding Elijah Blake Strawberry are asked to immediately contact the Strathmore RCMP at 403-934-3535 or call 911. Strawberry is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
The reward is only offered to anyone providing information to the RCMP or other legitimate law enforcement agencies between Aug. 23 and 30.
"Upon arrest of Elijah Blake Strawberry, the determination of entitlement to the reward will be made by the RCMP commanding officer, in its sole discretion," states the news release. "Such decision is final, binding, and not reviewable by a court of law."
Alberta law enforcement agencies as well as British Columbia and Saskatchewan RCMP are cooperating in the manhunt.
On Aug. 5, the day before the murder, Strawberry appeared in a Cochrane doorbell camera image.
Crime Stoppers is still available for tips and continues to offer a $2,000 reward.
