Today was the 54th annual Kleefeld Honey Festival and the day was filled with lots of fun activities including a kid’s area with many bouncy castles, bubble soccer, face painting, bubbles, train rides, and more.

A beach volleyball tournament went on, as well as the Cornerstone Fire Fighters Challenge which was super fun to watch!

Curtis Oude Voshaar with OV Honey Farms had a booth set up in the mini market to talk about their bees, honey, and the farm.

“We are located one mile east of Unger Meats on Road 32E. We run 39 hives currently, just in the process of growing. I've been in the bee industry for almost a decade now and it's always been fun to be with the bees and make lots of honey and always meet new people at these markets. So, if you're in the area, come on down to Kleefeld. We'd love to see you here!”

Oude Voshaar says they have samples to give away as well as honey available to purchase.

“We actually have samples of a little bit of sunflower honey, canola honey, and then our famous strawberry and brown sugar cinnamon honey butter.”

They also had a little game set up for the kids and hid honey sticks in straw for them to try and find.

Wendy’s Show Us Your Summer contest is quickly coming to an end with the giveaway on August 29 at the Clearspring Centre and many Golden Ticket holders will have the chance to take home the shed!

Find out how you can win a last-minute Golden Ticket over on the contest page.
