Heavy rainfall issued for Strathmore and Wheatland County

A special weather statement is in effect for Wheatland County near Strathmore, Carseland, and Lyalta.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, heavy rain and strong wind gusts of up to 70 km/h will end early this evening.

However, totals of 40 mm of rain are expected by later tonight.
