Kids (and adults) will have the chance to touch and climb into the driver's seat of their favourite vehicles at Grande Prairie’s first Touch A Truck event.

The event will take place at the West side parking lot of Bonnetts Energy Centre from 10am till 2pm on September 7.

There will be 30+ options to see on site, including things like a digger truck, garbage truck, snowplow, and a Zamboni. They will also have things like a city bus, fire trucks, the RCMP, and the new Grande Prairie Police Service vehicles.

You’ll have the chance to sit in some of the vehicles and talk to the operators.

Admission will be by donation with all proceeds going to the 2025 Special Olympics Alberta Summer Games. However, if you’re not able to donate, you will still be welcome to join in the fun.

Special Olympic athletes will also be on site to chat with you about the program and next year's summer games.

For more information you can visit www.sogp2025.com. You can also check out details for the Touch A Truck event on their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com
