New school year - renewed speed zones

Just a reminder to motorists that a new school year means that school zone speed zones in Humboldt shift. 

Speed limits in school zones shift to 30 km per hour during designated hours starting today. Traffic along Highways 5 and 20, and in designated areas, must slow to 30 km per hour from 8:00 am to 5 pm on school days.

Young children in elementary schools are returning to school or are attending for the first time. Motorists are asked to take extra caution in these areas, particularly during the fall school start up season.

Drivers in other communities need to be aware of speed zones enforced in their areas.
