The defending WHL champion Moose Jaw Warriors have started the pre-season with two losses.
The Regina Pats took both exhibition games on the weekend by scores of 7-4 and 4-2.

The Warriors will play a pair of preseason games against the Broncos this weekend, heading to Swift Current on Friday, before hitting the ice at the Moose Jaw Events Centre on Saturday night. 

High school football season is underway. In an all-Moose Jaw match-up, Central Cyclones topped the Peacock Tornadoes 28-24. Keaton Belcher had six catches for 90 yards and churned up 74 yards rushing on four carries and scored two touchdowns for the winners.

High school senior volleyball season is underway with local league action starting tomorrow night. 

In the CFL Saturday, the Roughriders lost 26-21 to the Blue Bombers in Winnipeg. The Riders have a bye this week. They'll play the Stampeders, in Calgary, a week from Friday. 

Major League Baseball, the Toronto Blue Jays fell 4-3 to the Braves yesterday. The Jays begin a 3-game series against the Mets tonight.
