Original Humboldt, located 8 km west of Humboldt just off Highway 5, has a wealth of stories, many of which have been unearthed by archeological digs and preservation of its artifacts and history.

Humboldt and area residents have a wonderful opportunity to explore the site on a guided tour happening on Thursday evening, September 12.

The site teaches about many overlapping histories including Red River carts and the Carlton Trail, the Dominion Telegraph line, the 1885 North-West Resistance, and Chief Whitecap and the Dakota Nation.

The guided walk is presented in collaboration with NatureLinks, a SaskOutdoors program geared toward connecting newcomers to nearby nature in the Humboldt area.

This free, drop-in public tour begins at 6:30pm. Drive 8km west of Humboldt and turn south onto Telegraph Road.
