Senior Safety Symposium will focus on health and personal safety

Safe Communities Humboldt & Area, along with numerous regional agencies will be presenting a Senior Safety Symposium to Humboldt and area residents of October 10 at Caleb Village. The Senior Symposium will give seniors valuable information on several safety topics delivered by qualified professionals.  

Presentation topics will include preventing falls and getting up from a fall, fraud prevention, medication reviews and flu/covid vaccines, wills, and warning signs of Alzheimer’s Disease.  

Other sessions will provide information on motorized scooter safety, fire and carbon monoxide safety, calling 911, staying active, and more. Displays, information and opportunities for one-on-one questions with professionals in attendance will be available between presentations.  

Families and caregivers can attend with seniors to receive the information at the symposium. The free of charge event will feature light refreshments and lunch. 

Those planning to attend must register by September 30.
