Dorothy Bodeux is the 104.5 More Country Volunteer of the Month for August.
Bodeux was in the studio on Wednesday (Sept. 11) and said she was excited to hear the news.
"I was overwhelmed, I have no other words than that. I was shocked."
Bodeux has dedicated her time to many different volunteer opportunities around Strathmore.
"In recent years I have volunteered for the Strathmore Ag Society, the Christmas lights, The Strathmore Musical Arts Society and until we ended it a couple of years ago. Also, quite a few years for the Wheatland Rural Crime Watch," Bodeux said.
Bodeux had some words of wisdom for people thinking of volunteering their time.
"This is kind of a selfish way to say it, but I get more out of volunteering than what I give. It's just what you feel by helping others and you know, there are so many opportunities just in Strathmore alone. Everybody is always looking for volunteers."
Congratulations to Dorothy Bodeux for being the Volunteer of the Month for August. She is walking away with a $100 gift card.
