Police say "no attempted abduction took place" yesterday

After police received a report of a suspicious vehicle and person who approached a minor in downtown Moose Jaw yesterday, they were able to review video footage and found the vehicle and occupants that were reported. 

MJPS say they have "verified no attempted abduction took place," and that the person was carrying a white envelope and cell phone. They added that they ruled out reports of a weapon. 

Police thanked the public for reaching out to them with reports, but pointed to information on social media, saying "we encourage people posting to refrain from making assumptions surrounding the circumstances of an incident."

Those with concerns are asked to reach out to police directly.
