It's gearing up to be a sunny weekend in Strathmore.
Here are five fun events to check out.
Real Canadian Wrestling Collision Course:
- Real Canadian Wrestling is preparing to suplex the competition at the Strathmore Ag Pavilion on Friday (Sept. 13) starting at 7:30 p.m. The event will feature stars from All Elite Wrestling like Kat Von Heez and Ava Lawless. The promotion plans to head to Strathmore again on November 15.
Strathmore Tradeshow:
- The 2024 Strathmore Tradeshow will be held at the Civic Centre from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday (Sept. 14). There will be a chance to explore booths from local businesses, artisans, and service providers. You can also check out live demonstrations of products and services and prize giveaways for kids.
Teddy Bear Picnic:

The annual Teddy Bear Picnic is back in Kinsmen Park at the Ampitheatre on Saturday (Sept. 14) starting at 10 a.m. The event will feature life-size bears, games, treats, and a DJ. The initiative marks the return of the Teddy Bear Hospital, as a team of teddy nurses will stitch and stuff well-used bears back to life. Donations are accepted and will go toward True North.
Terry Fox Run:

The Terry Fox Run will be hosted in Kinsmen Park on Sunday (Sept. 15) at the Ampitheatre. Registration for the Strathmore event will kick off at 12:30 p.m. and the run will start at 1:15 p.m.
ABC Kids: Drop In
- The Strathmore Municipal Library is hoping for kids ranging in age from three to five years old to learn to love reading. The event will feature songs, rhymes, and activities for parents and their kids. It will run on Friday (Sept. 13) from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
