The Strathmore & District Agricultural Society has announced a few changes to the upcoming Fright Night event.

"We are switching things up this year with what we are calling Stampede Fright Night “Lite” because it is a new spin on our usual spooky Halloween fun," wrote the society on the Strathmore Stampede Facebook page. "There will be no Halloween haunts this year, but two great parties instead."

On October 25 there will be the "Boo Bash" kids party, which features a live DJ, dancing, games, and pumpkin carving. There will also be a costume contest with pizza delivered by the local Dominos.

The following day there will be an 18+ party featuring a live DJ, dancing, drinks, more pizza, and another costume contest.

Both events will be hosted at the Strathmore Ag Grounds, with tickets on sale on the Strathmore Stampede website.

The society is also looking for volunteers to take part in the event.
