September brings a lot of seasonal change. This is when we see the shift back to school, with summer break ending, and autumn approaching. Hunting season is also coming up. But at GNM Fine Jewellers, hunters are after a different kind of game.
“They’re already looking for our pink tags,” says Sales Manager Nick Lanteigne. “They know that’s where the deals are.”
Loyal fans of the iconic jewellery store know to expect a giant 50% off sale at GNM Fine Jewellers every September. And though the pandemic, and then their move to Steinbach’s Main Street, disrupted this pattern, this year the sale is back and it’s bigger than ever.
“Our big fall sale is happening September 19th to the 21st,” notes Lanteigne. “The sale is up to 50% off, like we've had in the past. It's been two years since we've had this sale, so it's really big.”
In addition to the 50% off pink-tagged selection, GNM Fine Jewellers will also have watches discounted, silver and steel will be on sale, and they will have a gold selection on sale.
“There will be discounts on everything in the store,” confirms Lanteigne. “I don’t want to talk about Christmas yet, but it’s on the horizon now and this will be a great time to take advantage of some deals.”
While many people are hunting for deals at the annual sale, there are others who are searching for the right wedding bands. Lanteigne says that though some might think wedding season is behind us, GNM Fine Jewellers continues to offer a refreshed selection of men's and women's wedding bands from Canadian suppliers.
He has a lot of fun talking with couples who are excitedly choosing wedding bands, and reminding them to slow down and take it in – because it goes so fast.
“We also talk to couples about budgets,” shares Lanteigne. “Weddings aren't inexpensive and neither are good quality wedding bands. Two things last after your wedding – your photos and your wedding bands. So those are two things that we recommend putting a little more effort into choosing the right ones.”
GNM Fine Jewellers has been settled in at 375 Main Street in Steinbach for about 18 months now, says Lanteigne, and they love the location.
“Customers are still coming in and their jaws are just dropping. The store is very narrow and deep, so from the street it doesn't look very big – but then you walk in and it's 100 feet deep with diamonds and jewelry. So we have a huge selection, a huge store. It's been my mother's dream for years, and we finally made it a reality last year.”
