The 2024 Tradeshow showcased the business side of Strathmore over the weekend.
Around a dozen businesses were showing off what they offer to the community at the Civic Centre on Saturday (Sept. 14). There were a variety of products and services on hand, from artisan soaps to first aid training.
"We're seeing a lot of people come down here to support local businesses," said Cody Holdaway, secretary with the Strathmore Wheatland Chamber of Commerce. "Strathmore and Wheatland County has a very diverse business community. There's everything from orange shirts to custom kitchens and shingles for your roof."
There were also a few kid-friendly activities at the tradeshow, including a bouncy castle, prize giveaways, face painting, and cornhole boards. There were also a few food trucks lined up outside of the Civic Centre, selling food and drinks to hungry attendees.
"There was some authentic Filipino cuisine, a great coffee truck. It's good to come down and support these local businesses," added Holdaway.
The tradeshow has been going on in Strathmore for several years, to highlight the work that local businesses do in town and the products and services that they provide.
