Heavy police presence in Strathmore ends; no risk to public reported

A heavy police incident in Strathmore on Tuesday (Sept. 17) has ended.

Traffic was shut down through Strathcona Gate to Strathford Crescent as officers with rifles were seen throughout the streets and back alleys.

Police were on the scene for several hours before the incident ended. According to police, there was no risk to the public.

StrathmoreNow reached out to the RCMP for more information, but staff say due to the nature of the incident, no additional details will be released to the public.
