The multi-talented Wilbur Sargunaraj will be returning to Humboldt and part of the Culture Week celebration.

Sargunaraj was in Humboldt this past March with his touring “Exploring CQ” exhibit that looked at culture in a global context. Now, he is returning for three fun events hosted by Humboldt’s Cultural Services Department with funding provided by Culture Days through SaskCulture and Sask Lotteries.

On the afternoon of Friday, October 4 Wilbur will be giving a free concert for school at Jubilee Hall. Wilbur’s high-energy performance will get kids up on their feet and dancing while they learn useful tips about how to make friends with people who are different from them.

That evening, the Gallery hosts a book launch for Wilbur’s newest book Exploring CQ. Hear stories from Wilbur’s global adventures, with a focus on how we can use cultural intelligence to form better relationships with our neighbours next door and around the world.

Finally, on the morning of Saturday, October 5, Wilbur will be running a cricket tutorial and scrimmage in Glenn Hall Park. Bring water, comfy clothes, and the desire to learn how to play the second most popular game in the world. Or if you already know how to play cricket, show off your skills.

For more information about our Culture Days events, or to get in touch with Wilbur, email Jennifer Fitzpatrick at culturalservicesdirector@humboldtmuseum.ca or call 306.682.5226.
