GirlZone comes back October 5

The City of Grande Prairie is excited to bring back GirlZone, an activity-based day for girls ages 10 to 15, on October 5.

GirlZone aims to encourage young women to try new skills and recreational activities in a non-judgemental setting with their peers. The event also attempts to grow girls’ participation in sports during adolescence while creating a safe and inclusive space for participants to try new things.

This year’s GirlZone program features nine different activities ranging from practical skills, sports and hobbies for an action-packed day.

Registration is $20 and includes the cost of lunch.
