Police provide update on Manitoba Street East presence on Sunday

Police released details following an incident on the 400 block of Manitoba Street East yesterday.

They say they responded to a weapons call just after 4 p.m., with the complainant saying someone was reportedly “brandishing a firearm” in a residence.  

Two people exited the residence unharmed after police secured the surrounding areas, and following intervention by the Crisis Negotiation Team, a further two people left the residence without incident and were brought into custody.  

Police say more information will be released later, with the investigation currently ongoing.
