Grande Prairie RCMP are seeking any witnesses to a hit and run that took place on Sept. 14, 2024, at approximately 8:00 p.m. on 108 Avenue between 103 and 104 Street, in Grande Prairie. RCMP responded to a complaint on that evening of a hit and run involving a blue sedan and a 13-year-old pedestrian. Despite being thrown into air, the pedestrian fortunately suffered only minor injuries and was treated and released by EMS on scene.
After hitting the pedestrian, the male driver, stopped his vehicle, apologized and then fled the scene. The suspect vehicle is described as;
- Blue sedan, possibly a Honda Civic;
- Driver was male, with darker complexion;
- Driver is reported to have dark hair and with a long beard.
In addition to any eyewitnesses, RCMP are urging anyone who may have dashcam footage recorded on Sept. 14, 2024, between 7:50 p.m. and 8:05 p.m. in the area of 108 Avenue in Grande Prairie to come forward and contact the police.
