Tonight is the night! Get your steps on with some local square dancing.
Square dancing has been a hot spot for Strathmore residents for years.
Over the summer, the event took place at the Pavillion at Kinsmen Park, and Claudia Littlefair, organizer of the program says many new people were able to attend.
"We had probably between 15 to 35 people during the summer came out, so lots of new people were able to try it out."
It's the last time you can get in for free as you will have to make a $35 donation going forward.
Littlefair says everyone who attends is also welcome to bring food for a potluck.
According to Littlefair, if you're nervous to come out, it's an inviting atmosphere.
"Square dancing is more like walking to the beat of the music. It's not like dancing where you have fancy footwork or handwork, the music is uplifting."
The event will run every Wednesday night at Westmount School from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
