The Strathmore Spartans boys' football team is still searching for their first win of the season.
In the Spartans' previous game, they lost 33-13 against the Centennial Coyotes in Calgary.
"It was wet and rainy," said head coach Danny Warrack. "We were in it for a long time but couldn't get enough traction on offence."
Despite the loss, Warrack said that he believed it was their best game of the season, with an exceptional defensive performance.
The Spartans' next game is on Friday (Sept. 27) at home against the Willow Creek Cobras, a team based out of Claresholm.
"From what I've heard they've got a good offence. So, we're going to have to score some points against them to keep up," added Warrack. "We've got to clear some things up and make sure our defense is still progressing."
The game begins at 5 p.m. at the Strathmore High School football field and is free to attend.
