Town of Strathmore releases '2023 by the numbers'

The Town of Strathmore has released some interesting numbers regarding several projects and programs throughout the town.

In a post made to the town's Facebook page on Wednesday (Sept. 25), the town released '2023 by the numbers', a short-form video posted exclusively to the town's Facebook story.

The post claims that 1,667 flowers were planted throughout the year by town employees.

Other numbers include:

• 450 hours spent snow clearing.
• 68 playground inspections.
• 36 metric tonnes of asphalt used to repair potholes.
• 1,705 hours spent mowing grass.
• 78 metric tonnes of garbage collected.

The post also states that there are currently 1,294 active business licenses in town, 26 capital or large projects being managed, and 194 events that were supported.
