Canadian Christian artist, David Bracken has released his new single Sufficient, a deeply personal song that reflects his journey through illness, faith, and resilience.

After battling COVID-19 and subsequent respiratory issues, Bracken faced challenges in regaining his voice.

“This has been a monkey on my back for about two years,” he shared.

Despite the difficulties, Bracken said the experience taught him valuable lessons about grace.

“God's been teaching me to use what I have right now to praise Him. I could dwell on how my voice used to sound, but what matters is how I use what I have today."

Co-written by Sexsmith producer, Nathanael Sterr, and co-produced by Jake Fretz, “Sufficient” draws inspiration from 2 Corinthians, where God's grace is described as being "sufficient" in times of weakness.

"The song really speaks to the fact that we all make mistakes and fall short, but God's grace is more than enough to carry us through,” Bracken explained.

The single’s bridge, one of Bracken’s favourite parts, declares, “The depth of our affliction cannot at all come close to the reach of Your affection."

“When we think there’s no way God could give us just one more chance, He does, because His grace keeps pouring out on us,” Bracken said.
