Origin Brewing is bringing a taste of Germany to Strathmore next week.

The local brewery will host its annual Oktoberfest celebration on October 4 at its Strathmore taproom.

"It's free entry. There's going to be food specials, we've got some entertainment, and it's always a fun party," said Kyle Geeraert, director at Origin Brewing. "We're hoping to see a few familiar faces and have a good time."

Oktoberfest has been celebrated by Origin in Strathmore for over four years. Residents can expect to enjoy some German food, music, and games from SanOx Entertainment, and a best-dressed contest where the winner earns a prize.

"It's not something that you're going to come and not have fun if you're not a drinker. We've got a bunch of alternative options for people that don't drink," added Geeraert.

The event begins at 11 a.m. and runs until 11 p.m.
