The Strathmore Legion was raising funds through its Fall Market on Sunday (Sept. 29).

Local vendors were selling items such as glass art, porcelain gnomes, and even Christmas decorations.

One of the vendors was Kathie Earnshaw, who helped put on the event.

"I do anything from dishcloths to tea cozies to stuffies," said Earnshaw, who knits and crochets her products. "It keeps my hands busy and my brain going. I think everybody should have a hobby, and for me, this is my therapy."

Baldwin BBQ, a restaurant operating out of the Legion, was also open for vendors and guests to pick up some food. The restaurant is usually closed on Sundays.

The Fall Market also featured a 50/50 draw alongside a raffle for two quilts, with both draws hosted by the Legion.

"All of the money from the tables goes to the Legion, and every little bit helps," added Earnshaw.

According to Earnshaw, the turnout was slow as the event kicked off.

"It's good to come and support us and help out your neighbours."

For those who missed it, the Legion's next market will run on November 24.
