He's back in Moose Jaw and practicing with his teammates! The Moose Jaw Warriors welcoming star forward Brayden Yager after the Winnipeg Jets sent him back to junior for another season. The 19-year-old Yager recorded 95 points in 57 regular season games last year and added 27 points in 20 playoff games, helping the Warriors to their first WHL championship.

The Warriors are on the road this weekend with games in Lethbridge and Medicine Hat.

Former Warriors Dustin Boyd and Jody Lehman have been named to the 2024 induction class of the Warriors & Legends Hall of Fame.

Boyd played 265 career games with the Warriors between 2002 and 2006. He went on to play in the NHL with the Montreal Canadiens, Calgary Flames, and Nashville Predators.

Lehman played 155 career games with the Warriors between 1991 and 1996, and played for the University of Saskatchewan Huskies. He also played with the ECHL’s South Carolina Stingrays.

The banquet will be happening Friday, November 22 at the Moose Jaw Events Centre.

Senior Boys volleyball yesterday, it was Vanier over Peacock 3 sets to 2.

Senior Girls volleyball, Peacock beat Briercrest 3 sets to 1, Vanier shutout Rouleau 3 sets to none, and it was Cornerstone over Central 3 sets to 1.

And, Major League Baseball playoffs are underway. Detroit, Kansas City, the Mets and Padres all opening up their wildcard series with wins yesterday. All four series continue today.
