Gina Greschner Obituary
1978 ~ 2024 (age 46)
It is with deep sadness that the family of Gina Marie Greschner announce her recent passing. Beloved daughter of Steve & Rayna Greschner; cherished mother to Kennedi Powell; loving sister to Stephen Greschner & Daniel (Ashley Riley) Greschner; special Aunt to Kingston, Livia, Christian, Austin and Henry Greschner, and treasured Goddaughter to Charlotte Campbell and Eugene Greschner.
Graduating from high school in 1996 at NWCS in Plenty, Gina went on to receive a Bachelor of Fashion Marketing Degree from the Ryerson Polytechnical University in Toronto. Following the completion of her degree she held a retail administrative position in sales at The Bay in downtown Calgary. She was honoured with an elite award from the head office of Chanel for reviving their sales counter to top sales for the first time in 10 years.
Gina was creative and passionate about many things in the life and enjoyed creating various forms of art and jewellery. She was an advocate for physical fitness and trained to the highest level as a Pilates Instructor.
She loved animals and adored her cats. She brought warmth, love and a quiet demeanour to every room she entered.
We welcomed the love of Gina’s life into our world when her daughter Kennedi, whom she loved deeply, was born on September 20th of 2008. Three years later Gina would suffer a severe fall that resulted in a debilitating back injury requiring multiple surgeries. This gradually progressed into an ongoing curvature of her spine, known as a spinal collapse. Pain became a constant in her life and sadly overshadowed every part of it.
Gina will be deeply loved and forever cherished and remembered for the kind, intelligent, vibrant and beautiful person we all knew her to be.
Gina is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins that were a supportive and meaningful presence in her life. She was so fortunate to have grown up experiencing the first hand love of a large extended family.
Gina was predeceased by her maternal grandparents George and Agnes German along with her paternal grandparents Joe & Otil Greschner and her Uncle Mike Greschner.
To our beautiful Gina; your struggle is over and you are at peace now, resting in God’s arms. Know that we carry you in our hearts and always will. Your story does not end here, it will carry on with us and all who knew your beautiful soul.
Missing and loving you deeply and forever.
