The Rosetown and Kyle RCMP have released their report of incidents from September 27 to October 3, 2024. The detachment responded to various calls, ranging from wellness checks to traffic incidents. Below are the key events:

  • September 27 at 9:35 a.m. – A mischief complaint was made regarding damage to a vehicle in Rosetown. Due to insufficient evidence, no charges were laid.
  • September 27 at 10:03 a.m. – Kyle RCMP began investigating a case of harassing communications in Lucky Lake. The investigation is ongoing.
  • September 27 at 12:37 p.m. – A hit-and-run was reported on Highway 7. No charges were laid as there was insufficient evidence.
  • September 27 at 2:54 p.m. – Rosetown RCMP conducted a wellness check in Harris.
  • September 28 at 10:17 a.m. – A report of an erratic driver on Highway 4 led to a warning for distracted driving after the vehicle was located by Rosetown RCMP.
  • September 28 at 2:13 p.m. – Rosetown RCMP responded to a combine fire. No injuries were reported, and the fire was not considered suspicious.
  • September 28 at 6:47 p.m. – Kyle RCMP received a complaint about an unwanted male at a Rosetown residence. Officers attended and removed the individual.
  • September 28 at 9:48 p.m. – A motor vehicle collision involving a deer was reported. No injuries occurred, and the report was filed for insurance purposes.
  • September 28 at 10:51 p.m. – A wallet was turned in at the Rosetown RCMP detachment. The owner was located, and the wallet was returned.
  • September 29 at 3:13 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported near Elrose. Officers located the individual, and no suspicious activity was identified.
  • September 29 at 7:34 p.m. – A report of an erratic driver on Highway 7 could not be followed up as officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • September 29 at 9:52 p.m. – Another suspicious person was reported in Rosetown. Upon investigation, no suspicious activity was found.
  • September 30 at 1:49 a.m. – A vehicle collision involving a moose was reported near Harris. No injuries occurred, and the incident was reported for insurance purposes.
  • September 30 at 1:06 p.m. – Rosetown RCMP responded to a report of a stolen iPhone from a local business. The phone was recovered, and the complainant requested no further action.
  • October 1 at 2:44 p.m. – RCMP conducted a wellness check in Rosetown.
  • October 1 at 10:38 p.m. – Officers responded to another wellness check, this time in Wiseton.
  • October 2 at 10:28 a.m. – Rosetown RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision. No injuries were reported.
  • October 2 at 9:23 p.m. – RCMP attended a wellness check in Rosetown.
  • October 3 at 1:33 p.m. – Rosetown RCMP mediated a tenant dispute in Zealandia.

Throughout the week, officers also issued 41 traffic-related charges, responded to one 911 misdial, and handled two false alarm calls.
