At a special event Monday evening (October 7th), Ralph Friesen is sharing details of his new book, "Prosperity Ever - Depression Never" which looks at the history of Steinbach.
The Author Reading takes place at Mennonite Heritage Village in Steinbach, and Joanne Friesen believes there is value in hosting local writers.
“As a museum, we are trying to promote these author evenings quite often. We try to do three or four through the winter, or maybe five, depending on who we can get to come in. I think they appreciate the opportunity, and I think it's great for local folks because it's a free event.”
Tonight’s author reading takes place at 7pm.
“I think it's a great evening information wise, just to learn about what it was like here in Steinbach in the 1930s.”
Another author reading is planned for October 17th.
