The Northern Lights never cease to amaze, showcasing brilliant colors that dance across the night sky. Stuartburn Reeve Michelle Gawronsky was captivated by the vibrant hues illuminating the sky on Monday night.

“The view was unbelievable. I actually drove north of town, so I didn't have any of the streetlights or anything blocking it,” she reports. “I come from the north, so to see Northern Lights, the display like that, that was happening (in Vita) was unbelievable. It was just so wonderful and just such a reminder of the blessings of what we have and how Mother Nature just gives us the best paintings and the best lights we could ever get.”

As the lights began to appear, they transformed from a gentle green haze into a vibrant dance of colors.

“They danced... I swear they were doing the polka over Vita,” she describes. Gawronsky says that as she moved to darker areas, hues of purple and red emerged across the sky, captivating her attention. “I stood... for 45 minutes and just gazing at the spectacular display that was happening.”

The peak of the light show occurred around 9:30 PM, when the colors were at their brightest.

“I’ve never seen them so vibrant over Vita.” Although she has traveled to places like Churchill to witness the Northern Lights, experiencing such beauty so far south was unique and unforgettable.

“My dog and I were the only two that were out there,” Gawronsky says, adding that this peaceful setting allowed her to appreciate the display fully. “It kind of makes you remember just how wonderful life is,” she says, encouraging everyone to cherish these beautiful moments.

She adds, “The world isn’t such a horrible place after all.”
