Strathmore resident Kenneth Alan Robinson passed away earlier this month.

According to his obituary, Robinson was born in England and moved to Canada when he was five. He relocated to Strathmore in 2002.

After a brief battle with lung cancer, Robinson passed away on October 3 at the Strathmore and District Health Services. He was 68 years old and was surrounded by his family when he died.

His friends say that he was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending his time at the Strathmore Legion having drinks and playing darts.

"I used to play Monday night darts," said Sylvia Westgard, a fellow darts player and friend of Robinson. "Then I started up senior darts on Sunday. That's when Kenny and Helen joined me."

Helen is Robinson's wife. The two got married in Ontario back in 1989.

"He was always good. I miss him because when I go there now, there's nobody there that bugs me like Kenny used to," added Westgard. "I've known him for so long and played many darts with him. He was a good little dart player."

Robinson is survived by his wife, his children Dennis, Catherine, and Sean, and their families.

"Kenny was Kenny. That's all I can say," said Westgard.

A celebration of life for Robinson will be held at a later date.
