The Rosetown Central High School (RCHS) football team once again triumphed during the highly anticipated "Under the Lights" game. A massive crowd of supporters gathered to cheer on the team, making it another memorable night for local sports.
The parade was another major attraction, with families lining the streets to watch the fun and colourful floats pass by. Organizers handed out 850 bags of candy to children, indicating a strong attendance for the morning event. “The kids really got a kick out of the floats. It was a great way to start the day.”
Downtown Rosetown was bustling with energy throughout the day. Games, face painting, and the petting zoo kept children entertained, with laughter filling the air. Adding to the festive atmosphere, local musician Glen Adair performed live, providing a lively soundtrack for the day’s activities.
“The bouncy castles and food vendors were at capacity all day,” said the organizers, noting how popular those attractions were with families. Meanwhile, the Super Dogs show, which featured three performances, drew standing-room-only crowds as audiences marvelled at the talented canines.
As the evening drew to a close, the festival’s fireworks display lit up the sky with a spectacular show. “It’s one of the greatest fireworks displays in central Saskatchewan, I bet,” said an attendee, summing up the excitement of the finale.
Fitness enthusiasts turned out in strong numbers for the Harvest Hustle, which saw runners competing in the 2K, 5K, and 10K races. “We had a fantastic turnout for all distances,” the organizers reported.
