Roughly 6,500 university students gathered for a praise and worship event held at the University of Mississippi last week that ended with students getting baptized in the parking lot.

The event was put on by Unite US on October 10 at one of the biggest party schools in the U.S.A.

It was so well-received that afterward in the parking lot, there were baptisms held in the back of a pickup truck with a tarp and water added.

One female student who took the step of faith shared her testimony right before being dunked.

"I grew up in the church but always struggled with faith," says the student in an Instagram video fighting back tears. "A lot of bad stuff happened to me when I was 16 and so my resort was to take my own life. I took an entire bottle of pills and woke up the next morning by a complete act of God. Ever since then, I've been one foot in and one foot out with my faith. I'm tired of being one foot in the world. I'm ready to fully give my life to God tonight."

Christian artist Forrest Frank was in attendance and shared a video of the baptisms as well.

"7k students from one of the top party schools showed up last night to represent Christ and get freed," says Frank.

Other Christian artists commented on the post, including Lauren Daigle who said, "This is amazing!!! God is going to bring revival through the youth!!" Hulvey simply stated, "This is beautiful!"

The speaker for the event was Christian author Jennie Allen of IF:Gathering. Allen is the one who ended up baptizing the students interested in taking the next step of faith.

"Some of you have carried secrets and stories, addictions and sin. This is the story (Satan) wants to tell you...that you are a victim and there is no way out. And we are here to say, that is just not true," said Allen on stage.

Unite US began one year ago with a praise and worship event at a university in Auburn, Alabama, on September 12, 2023. Since then they have been touring across the U.S.A. to reach college students with the good news of Jesus.

"College students, we are so proud of your boldness to let go of the things that have been holding you back from all God has in store for you," says Unite US on Instagram. "We are cheering on every single student who made the life-changing decision to follow Jesus tonight– this is just the beginning."

The next location Unite US Movement is going to is a university in Florida, at the Stephen O'Connell Center.
