It's going to be a beautiful weekend, and there are plenty of fun events to enjoy in and around Strathmore.
Here are five events taking place:
Strathmore Cultural Resource Fair:
- The Strathmore Civic Centre will host a special presentation as residents will learn more about the cultures that help make Strathmore home. The event runs on Saturday (Oct. 19) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Grand Opening of the Rustic Brocanteuse:

The official ground opening of the Rustic Brocanteuse Mercantile in Standard will take place on Saturday (Oct. 19) starting at 11 a.m. There will be discounts, drinks, and a vast selection of vintage and artisan treasures.
Langdon Halloween Costume Exchange:
- The event will run at the Langdon Community Library from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 19). Residents can bring their gently used Halloween costumes for tickets. Ticket holders can then pick out costumes from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. Following that, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., anyone can shop, and costumes are $5 each with proceeds benefitting the Langdon Recreation Centre Fund.
Chestermere Pumpkin Patch:

Pumpkins will be set out for residents at the Chestermere Recreation Centre on Saturday (Oct. 19). There will be hot dogs, coffee, hot chocolate, balloon animals, and face painting. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and it's $10 to buy a pumpkin. Proceeds will support the Chestermere Lions Club.
Mad Hatters Cornhole Club:

The Mad Hatters Cornhole Club will host league play and beginner teaching sessions. The event starts on Sunday (Oct. 20) at 12:45 p.m. at the Trinity Christian Academy in Strathmore.
