Emergency water main repairs underway following morning break

Aquatera crews are currently on site conducting emergency repairs and assessments following a water main break that occurred this morning at the southeast corner of 108 Avenue and 102 Street. The cause of the break has not yet been determined.

As a result of the break, Avondale School and some businesses are temporarily closed. Residents and businesses in the area may experience water service interruptions during the repair process.

Traffic impacts include:

• Eastbound lane on 108 Avenue is fully closed.
• Northbound and southbound traffic on 102 Street cannot turn onto 108 Avenue.
• Eastbound vehicles on 108 Avenue must turn left or right at the intersection of 102 Street.

The City urges drivers to use alternate routes and exercise caution when traveling near the affected area. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
