The City of Grande Prairie advises residents that CN is set to replace a defective section of track at the 68 Avenue rail crossing between Resources Road and 92 Street.
To safely complete this work, all lanes, eastbound and westbound, will be closed overnight from October 23 into the early morning of October 24. The closure is scheduled during nighttime hours to minimize traffic disruption.
To assist drivers with planning alternate routes, variable message boards will be installed today to alert commuters in advance of the planned closure and upcoming detour.
