City of Grande Prairie snow clearing crews have been working through the night from Sunday, October 20, into Monday, October 21, responding to an early season snowfall.

The response includes sanders, plows, loaders and graders focusing on arterial roads. With slippery conditions, the City reminds drivers to allow extra time and take additional precautions when commuting. Please give snow removal equipment at least three car lengths of space to operate safely.

“We’re seeing typical early season challenges with freezing temperatures following the snowfall,” says Wade Nellis, Transportation Director. “Our teams are fully equipped and out there ensuring arterial roads are safe. We encourage residents to drive according to the conditions and be patient as we work to keep roads clear.”
