County of Grande Prairie Council acclaimed Division 5 Councillor Bob Marshall as Reeve and Division 1 Councillor Amanda Frayn as Deputy Reeve at today’s organizational meeting.
“I am honoured by the trust and support from my fellow Councillors to continue my role as Reeve,” said Bob Marshall.
Deputy Reeve Amanda Frayn says she looks forward to what can be achieved in this new opportunity. “I am excited to take on this new role within County Council. I look forward to continued growth while sharing my expertise to support the County in ensuring ongoing achievement of our strategic priorities.”
Reeve Marshall has served on County Council since 2013 as Councillor for Division 5 and was first elected as Reeve in 2022. Councillor Frayn was first elected to Council in 2021.
Members of Council and Administration expressed gratitude to outgoing Deputy Reeve Brian Peterson for his service since being elected to the position in 2023. Councillor Peterson will continue to represent Division 7.
County Council holds an organizational meeting every October to elect a Reeve and Deputy Reeve, and to appoint members of Council to committees.
