SaskPower warns about an Interac E-transfer scam

SaskPower is alerting the public of an Interac e-transfer scam through a fraudulent email. 

The email claims to be from the SaskPower Carbon Council and at first glance appears to be legitimate. The email notifies the customer of a large deposit being e-transferred to them from the Government of Saskatchewan. 

SaskPower does not send e-transfers and reminds residents to check the address of where the email was sent from.  

If anyone has clicked on the link that was sent in the fraudulent email, they should contact the local law enforcement immediately.
