It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother Diane Margaret Peloquin. Diane passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, MB. Diane will be missed by her daughters Marianne and Julie and son-in-law Steve and her son Gilbert, her beloved grandchildren Max and Rene, her sister Loretta and brother-in-law Mario, her niece Rosemarie and husband Brad, nephew Mario and wife Kim and great niece Maya. Diane will be dearly missed by her cousin Linda and all of her family and friends. Diane was predeceased by her parents Frank & Christine Veltri and her beloved husband Ulysse Peloquin.

Diane was a dedicated farm wife working with her husband Ulysse. They married in 1968 and began their lives together on Ulysse’s family farm in St. Norbert. Their two daughters were born while living on the St. Nobert farm. In 1976 they moved to their farm in Ile Des Chenes and completed their family with their son. Together they ran a mixed farming operation until 1993. Diane and Ulysse then moved to an acreage in Ste. Anne and retired to Winnipeg in 2006.

Diane was very friendly and loved visiting and talking with people. She enjoyed bingo, was an active volunteer in her community and was an avid bowler. Diane loved shopping and days in the city. She especially looked forward to visits with her sister, Loretta. Diane’s grandchildren loved their visits filed with playing games and lots of laughter thanks to Diane’s great sense of humour. Diane’s ability to put people at ease and provide comfort and companionship was one of Diane’s greatest gifts. All those that knew and loved Diane were blessed to have her in their lives.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., at Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Parish, Ste. Anne, MB. The interment will take place at Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Parish Cemetery directly after the service. Lunch to follow at Club Jovial. We would like to thank the staff at Vista Park Lodge for their compassionate care over the last several years. Thank you to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital for the kind and special care they provided to Diane and her family during a very difficult time.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
