The Strathmore & District Agricultural Society has made some important upgrades to one of its baseball diamonds.

In a Facebook post earlier this month, the society announced that the reconstruction project had finished on Diamond 1, with the work beginning in August.

"This included all new grading, brand new shale, premium Kentucky bluegrass sod, all new waterlines and sprinkler system, as well as some fixes to the chain link fence," wrote the society.

Several companies worked on the diamond over the last two months, including:

  • Gray's Limited.
  • Landscape Plus.
  • English Lawns.
  • Links Landscaping.
  • Eagle Lake Professional Landscape Supply.
  • Gallagher Ltd.

The diamond, which is the biggest one owned by the society, will be ready for operation for the 2025 baseball season. The baseball field is located at the Strathmore Ag Grounds.
