Strathmore Co-op suddenly closes

The Calgary Co-op grocery store in Strathmore's Edgefield community temporarily closed during the morning on Wednesday (Oct. 23).

According to staff with the store, the closure is due to a blown transformer. However, they mentioned that FortisAlberta will be bringing in a new one to fix the issue.

The Co-op gas bar, which is right next to the grocery store, remains open, but its debit and credit card machines are not working.

An update will be provided once the grocery store is open again.
