The 12th annual Winterize Your Ride is coming up on Saturday, November 2nd at PrairieCoast Equipment.
The event will run from 9am till 4pm and is geared towards widows, single parents, students, and families in need to come and have their vehicle serviced for winter for FREE!
Dan Rigler, event organizer says, "It's so important that people know we are doing this for them because we love them, and genuinely do care for them."
People will have the option to stay with their vehicle while it's being serviced, or there will also be a hospitality area with refreshments and children's activities available as well.
The event is put on with the help of many volunteers each year. Rigler says, "There's actually something for everybody. All in, it takes over 70 people to make this day possible."
Volunteers are still needed for the event. Everything from people who can bake treats, traffic directors, people working in the hospitality and kids' area, people on hand to run parts when needed, and of course those who are more mechanically inclined.
Rigler says, there is lots of room for cars. "We have the capacity, and the volunteers are the ones who make it happen."
